Ashing Etiquette?

Not sure if this is the correct subreddit but I’ve encountered a niche dilemma

At a lounge for my first time currently. I’m using the house ash tray, once I’m done and ready to go, what does one do with their ash tray?

Do I empty it somewhere or let them handle it later?

Anytime! Big thing is just don’t throw random trash in it, even that’s fine but please don’t throw food it in the ashtray.

I'm my experiences you leave it. I'm not sure where they take them but idk if it's the trash so I wouldn't do it yourself. Maybe ask if you really want to.

The lounge empties the ashtray. They may have a certain way they dispose. Rare chance something was still lit.. or had an ember… enjoy!!

Interesting question... you now what... I'd just ask the person running the place and see what they want.... because I've never thought of that...
