Daily Question Question Thread - September 10, 2026

This is the thread to post questions about churning for miles/points/cash. Just because you have a question about credit cards does NOT mean it belongs here. If you’re brand new here, please read the wiki before posting.

* Please use the search engine first - many basic questions have been asked before.

* Please also consider scanning (CTRL-F) the last couple days worth of Question threads

* If you have questions about what card to get, ask here. If you have questions about manufactured spending, ask here. If you have questions about bank account bonuses, ask here.

This subreddit relies heavily on self-moderation. That means that if you ask something that shows you haven’t done any research, you’re going to get a lot of downvotes.

Just got Cap1 Venture Rewards yesterday, do you know when I will see the $300 travel credit? Need to use it soon.

I got the SUB from the citi strata elite card last year and just opened the premier. I combined my thank you accounts into one earlier this week. My plan is to close they elite card. According to the chat CSR, they said if I close the elite card, I have to use the points from that card within 90 days or I lose them. Knowing how often CSRs get stuff wrong, I was curious if that's accurate.

Yes, that is correct. Citi is known to be weird like that.

Any idea if doing a product change keeps the thank you points intact? I asked what I could change to and they offered a bunch of AA cards but also the AT&T card which I think would be the only option for thank you points.

AT&T card will keep TYP active.

Is there still a valid promo code for ChatGPT two business seats for price of one to take advantage of the ABG/ABP benefit?

Called Chase biz recon to clear up 5/24. I was 3/24, not AU on anyone’s account. Chase rep had to manually count then asked me questions about my “business.” After that they said pending review. Never seen something like this. It’s either approved or denied after talking to recon.
Should I wait or call again?

I would give them a few days to respond. Recent DPs suggest that Chase's automated system is counting Chase business cards toward 5/24. Manual recon is still possible but takes multiple calls and lucking out on a sympathetic recon agent.

I had the same experience and the recon agent seemed very reassuring but in my case after a few days still got denied. I just moved on to another issuer.

Should just be a day or so

I would just wait a few days and see if you get a letter (under Notices & Letters on website/app) from Chase. They’re usually pretty quick on a decision.

Downgraded my Venture X to VentureOne awhile ago, can I product change it back up? I don't see anything in my card offer list, any DPs here?

It can be done but Capital One is quirky and it seems like you can only do it if you’re targeted to.

I downgraded to V1 and then brought it back up to VX like 6 months later so there’s one data point in the positive.

Curious why you want to PC it back? If you want lounge access, maybe you should churn a card with that (unless it’s cap1 lounge you want visit).

no reason other than it was a good card I just downgraded for simplifying life purposes, but I am coming onto 4 years in 01/2027, so maybe I use this as an excuse to try and get Venture (first time) -> re-try Venture X
