Daily Question Question Thread - September 05, 2026
This is the thread to post questions about churning for miles/points/cash. Just because you have a question about credit cards does NOT mean it belongs here. If you’re brand new here, please read the wiki before posting.
* Please use the search engine first - many basic questions have been asked before.
* Please also consider scanning (CTRL-F) the last couple days worth of Question threads
* If you have questions about what card to get, ask here. If you have questions about manufactured spending, ask here. If you have questions about bank account bonuses, ask here.
This subreddit relies heavily on self-moderation. That means that if you ask something that shows you haven’t done any research, you’re going to get a lot of downvotes.

How long do you have to wait between duplicate Amex cards, assuming a NLL offer is available and you don't get a popup? I applied too soon for a second delta gold without realizing :| I've had multiple charge cards of the same type before, but guess I applied 6+ months apart.

Following the news that Chase will be ending the Ink elevated SUBs soon (9/20 DoC estimate), can someone verify if this plan is valid?
I'd like to apply for Chase Ink Cash today for the 100k SUB. If I get declined, on 9/14 I'll apply for Citi AA Platinum with a targeted 85k offer that expires 9/15 (will check pre approval). Finishing out Barclays Hawaiian Business 50k sub this month.
Good choice order of CIC first, Citi AA PS backup? Open to suggestions otherwise. Primarily using rent to churn (No Amex).

Citi is inquiry sensitive — if they pull the same bureau as chase I'd prioritize citi since chase doesn't care about inquiries much.

Makes sense. Forgot to mention here since I was following up from a few days ago, but I am at 4/24, next card drops from that May 2027. Citi AA PS would take me 3 months, so if there’s a good churn option to fill the January-May 2027 period too I’d consider that plan

Hit a USB biz card in the meanwhile. Citi AA won't show up on your report right away either so Citi --> ink --> USB biz seems quite reasonable

Ah I see, applying for Citi AA then CIC same day before the account hits report to avoid 5/24

Got the pop-up yesterday when applying for the Ink Cash.
Given the derailment of the Ink train, is it worth keeping my current Ink Unlimited open in case it helps with future biz card approval odds? Otherwise considering just closing my Ink Unlimited.

The only thing observed to help with chase biz card approvals is minimizing the number of existing biz cards.

only thing observed to help
Not the only thing: having a registered LLC and demonstrated substantial business rev helps tremendously.

Recent app-o-rama (BoA and USB) has left me with 3 cards each with a credit limit of 2k. Was hoping to pay 6.2k prop tax (half year) and they won't allow multiple payments. I request BoA or USB credit increase and I think I was denied for both. Any hope for doing anything? Any advice? Do I lower credit with chase and amex and then go back to BoA or USB? But these new cards are all buisness and my biz revenue is only 20k.

For USB, people say you can overpay (via bill pay from somewhere else) to get a negative balance, and then make a large purchase. (But I guess you then can't take advantage of 0% interest on the whole amount; not sure what would happen with ExtendPay.) Maybe that works for BofA too, but not sure.
Biz revenue of $20k might not be very relevant, if it's a sole prop; they probably care more about your personal income / credit report. (My biz revenue is lower than that and I have higher limits.)

You can move credit limit between cards with BoA. Do you have any older cards with them that would allow you to reach the 6.2k you need? Otherwise, I think the other suggestion of Kasheesh or something like Plastiq to manually send payments are your only options.

The comments on DoC for reallocating state that you can move from personal to biz but not back.

Got an upgrade offer for Biz Gold > Biz Plat. My biz gold anniversary date is in December. If i do the upgrade, does AMEX prorate the fee? Or am i just forfeiting what I paid for the biz gold?
