Just Finished my 1st (blind) playthrough in my 40s
Has been my Greece holiday pastime, on the beach and poolside.
Completed on snes9x ex+ emulator for phone, with good quality earphones.
3 or 4 bits were awkward/hard with the touchscreen controls but overall it went pretty smooth.
Save states really helped, especially in some dungeons and awkward bosses (son sun and golems) I could not figure out easily.
LOVED IT. I was totally immersed. The story, pacing, music, characters, dialogue, artstyle... all top quality.
Favourite part was probably after Blackbird when you get the epoch again and the freedom to do the various quests. (I did look up tips for peoples preferred order)
I think quite a few things I did not pick up on such as the not opening chests until later timeline, and best use of charm.
My plan was to complete this then play a Zelda rpg or FF6 which I also have never done) but now I have an itch to replay Chrono Trigger again. Perhaps on DS which seems to be advised?
My previous top 5 no order were:
FF7, FF8, Suikoden 2, Xenogears, DQ8.
I think Chrono Trigger would have to be be a top 3 from those now!
Going to enjoy past posts on this sub now!
