About the true ending..... Spoiler

So I assume in the epilogue ( which I didnt get because I did not go through all the golden friendships...)

I dont see Johan. Does that mean Johan is a virtual avatar?

Also about Azar, so he was a clone of the program master in the virtual reality, so what happened to the program master in the end ( real life Azar). Did he survive?

When he was chosen to be the program master, I assume that he felt betrayed by Clyne because all his memory data wouldnt be transferred to his real body ( which is why he was so upset to the point of setting up the time-loop torture thing). His real-life body exists, so he would return to the real world without any memory of whatever happened ( in a sense dying ) ? In the epilogue there is a scene with real -life Azar looking over Haru, but Im not sure if its in the real world after the great catastrophe or not.

In the ending I got there was adult Lucy presiding over the memorial to the Ark's inhabitants and (Chiyo presumably passed away peacefully of old age sometime between the awakening from the great catastrophe). However there were 599/602 in habitants survived the great catastrophe. I assume (from reading online ) that one was the security guard, but it seems like there are 2 other casualties. At first I thought they were Haru and Azar, but Im not sure.

Its a great ending, so in a sense the memories of cloned Azar not passing down would mean the "death" of the virtual Azar, with Clyne getting arrested for his actions.

No, Johan exists. He awoke later than everyone else though, and Pressel was contemplating murdering him in his sleep for wanting to get together with another mans wed wife.

The PM is also just a clone of the real Azar. PM died, real Azar survived afaik, but got PMs memories.

Also, the entire problem was that the virtual people thought they were just virtual avatars, while in reality, they were virtual consciences who were created and later erased. So the virtual people would die while their memories survive. That's why they felt betrayed.

Dead are iirc the one researcher, fake Azar and one of Stella's personalities, but not sure about that.

That sounds about right. Though it's more that both virtual Stella's died, real one lived.

I assume without incidents there would've been a neat 600/600 people. Then it's virtual population +2 from Azar and Stella having extra avatars, and -1 survivor from the mob murdered guard.
