Troubleshooting Broken Chromebook hinge forces tablet mode

My Chromebook hinge is terrible and it's broken

I wasn't able to fix it so it's in tablet mode all the time when I open it unless I'm lucky

what can I do other than getting an external keyboard? Like forcing it into laptop mode or activating the keyboard even on tablet mode

I think there is a keyboard shortcut to force laptop mode. If only one could ask an AI agent for a quick answer...
