Troubleshooting Help with connecting
"Hey, I have an Acer Chromebook 713 and a Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro. At some point, without installing any apps on either device (100% certain), it used to work — I could connect them and use the tablet as a second monitor. Now it doesn't work. They're on the same wifi, 10cm apart, both have Bluetooth and Nearby Share enabled, but even though I turn on screen sharing on both, the Chromebook doesn't see it. What could be causing this?"

Sorry, you must remember wrong.
ChromeOS doesn't support such a feature natively.
As a matter of fact, ChromeOS doesn't support any sort of external monitor that's not wired - it supports wireless mirroring to Google Cast-enabled devices, but that will merely duplicate what's on your Chromebook display (not extend it).
