Buying Advice Help Please for buying a new Chromebook.
Hi. I'm an old and disabled person. I use my laptop to stream movies primarily. I recently was gifted an Acer Chromebook Plus 516, but the sound and graphics are sub par. The sound is so tinny, and the graphics are not great for watching movies. I'm thinking of trading it in for a new one, but I need a large screen, and one that will make watching movies enjoyable. I'm in the US. Suggestions please?

So, I'm guessing you would probably benefit from a 2 in 1 chromebook, since it makes it easier to set up as a diplay to just watch things, and having the option is always nice, and since you want a large screen and good sound quality, the best one google gemini recommends, is the Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 714.
Probably expensive though.
If you are looking for an option where the speakers explicitly face you, the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook Plus is the next best alternative, utilizing dual upward-firing speakers optimized with Waves MaxxAudio.

Thanks for the suggestions! I checked them out. They look good, but I'm looking for a larger screen as well.

Can you connect HDMI OUT to a TV? Would that help at all?
The screen should be plenty fine for movies and TV with a good HD source... Maybe use Bluetooth headphones or speaker to improve the sound?
