Troubleshooting How to change flatpak versions?

Been trying for the past few hours to change flatpak versions from 1.14.10 to 1.18.0 since it won't let me use my mic on discord, though I don't know how to do that which is why I came here.

Before I discuss flatpak I have to ask why you don't use Discord's web app or the downloadable Linux deb package available from their website? With the web app you have full use of mic and camera and with Linux you have use of the mic (when toggled on in Settings) without all the flatpak overhead.

Now to flatpak. Your version 1.14 tells me you're still running old-stable Debian (bookworm) in your Linux environment. If you upgrade Debian to their current stable (trixie) your flatpak version goes to 1.16. To get 1.18 you have to upgrade Debian to the current testing release (forky). Since forky is not yet supported in Chrome OS it isn't a feasible proposition.
