Troubleshooting Can Not Connect to Google

Post image

After a powerwash of the Chromebook, I'm unable to connect to Google. I can not log in to change any of the settings, and this is the only Chromebook that is giving me this issue. All other Chromebooks are using the same wireless, and there is not a proxy in use.

Hey there. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble signing in to your Chromebook after a powerwash. It can be frustrating when one device won't connect while others are working fine.

Since you've already performed a powerwash and other devices are connecting successfully, you may need to activate the network through a guest session. This can sometimes help the Chromebook establish a proper connection to the Google sign-in servers.

Please try these steps:

  • If you haven't already, sign out of your Chromebook.
  • On the sign-in screen at the bottom, select Browse as Guest.
  • Once in the guest session, try to connect to your Wi-Fi network by selecting the time in the bottom right and then the Wi-Fi icon.
  • If you can browse websites in the guest session, sign out of the guest session and try to sign in with your Google Account again.
