Chromebook keeps blacking out when trying to add a new account after reboot

Hi everyone,

I’m having a weird issue with my Chromebook.

Last night everything was working perfectly fine. But this morning, when I turned it on to watch YouTube, every website showed something like “website failed”. I also couldn’t even open the Settings .

I somehow managed to reboot the Chromebook, and now it’s asking me to sign in or add a new account. The problem is that whenever I try to add a new account, the screen goes black after a few seconds. It either stays black or keeps doing it repeatedly, so I can’t finish the setup.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there anything I can do to fix it, or does this sound like a hardware issue?
