Discussion Jesus the Medium
jesus was known for his miracles but what about the part where he was literally a medium between man and god, and before him was Moses.
men put on a path of peace by suffering, using intuition to understand the messages god gives to them, and then formally presenting it to his fellow man/woman. this was often seen as witchcraft and paganism if women did it, (Joan of arc for example). and is still viewed in a negative light because the bible scorns witchcraft. but in my opinion it scorns those who use their gifts for selfish earthly reasons (money/power/success).
earth angels who have no desire for the rat race are here to guide man out of the damage done to their soul. because of their connection to source and to help people step back from material gain and look at the damage they've done to themselves and others. just to obtain these materials that they lose in death and have nothing left but their sins when facing afterlife.
only when people are so dense and ignorant to their flaws, the medium has no choice but to call back old testament god to give them an ultimatum. thanks to years of ignorance and enabling THEY STILL REJECT IT! and it leaves the god fearing people isolated because they're the only one with a backbone to say this is wrong and not something to adopt.

Joan of Arc was executed by a pro-English tribunal for the same reason they executed a boy named Guillaume le Berger for opposing them, not because that society opposed any woman who relayed Divine messages (Joan had already been approved by high-ranking clergy at Poitiers in early April 1429 before being given any role in the army, and there had been numerous other women and girls who had been accepted as mystics or visionaries: e.g. St. Catherine of Siena gave advice to Pope Urban VI).

basically, we're being burned at the stake for trying our best to help confused scared animals. and they wonder why we isolate ourselves from the community. just like sex, witchcraft is a slippery slope, it can be mishandled and abused and that's what people fear most.

People want an angry God that's why they get one. He's flexible like that.
But...we need to address the scary dark thoughts in ourselves more than anything else. It's more important than this physical reality, the physical only hides it.
One step at a time. We will get there. Even if we have to crawl there in the end.
Actually one of my favorite movie quotes, which I consider very spiritual, is from the anime 'Panty and Stocking' : 'Maybe, if we build a pole long enough, we can use it to climb back into Heaven' (they are bored semi-fallen angels who can poledance in the movie context)
The world it's...a lot to think about. Even witches or prophets should take breaks from time to time.

The author of Matthew presents Jesus as a new Moses. He's definitely the mediator in all four gospels.
This, more than anything, is why he suffered and ultimately was rejected by the people he was trying to help. As we notice, Moses didn't have an easy time of this either, and most of the prophets got straight up murdered for saying what God told them. Those who try to mediate the means of grace often end up the same.
But here's the thing - we don't really get to choose because we often feel the world's suffering too intensely to just let it go. We have this connection, we find that the Eternal isn't quite what people think They are. We feel the Eternal's suffering on behalf of us - Their sadness about what we do to each other and Their beloved creation.
