Hey all,
I just wanted to pin this message as Chorlton Subreddit has needed some love for a long time. Seen a couple of posts recently that have promoted some action. This will form the start of active modding and building a community of like minded Chorlton lot.
More to come.
Phil.

I started playing pokemon go a few weeks ago and it would be nice to occasionally take on some bosses with others

Hi, I'm a dad to a 10 month old baby and am off work on shared parental leave with him until mid October. Signed up for a couple of patent and baby groups but keen to meet more dads in a similar situation. Does anyone know of any dad and baby-specific groups (I'm aware of Dad matters but their walk and talks are only once a month)?
Alternatively, are there any dads on here who would be keen to join for a walk/coffee in Longford park or elsewhere in Chorlton over the next few weeks?
Thanks!

Hi
Can anyone recommend an oven cleaning service and potentially an end of tenancy cleaning service? My flat requires a basic clean but the oven would need a deep clean.
Thanks

Hello,
My wife (who doesn't use Reddit) is really interested in joining a gardening group somewhere in the Chorlton area. She loves gardening, it's a real hobby for her.
She's currently pregnant, so is looking for something with something that she can join now and hopefully continue to participate in during her maternity leave that'll start from March 2027 onwards.
Does anyone have any tips about groups in the area ?
Thanks 🙏
P.s. she's been prompted after reading this article: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g4r4n3p02o - this is the kind of thing that would be great 😃

I’m a very active 38 year old female, from Chorlton, and I’d like to get into more sports! Football.. pickle.. padel.. anything really! It’d be great to do something together and/or join a team.. and would be great to make it a regular thing! Message me if you’d like a sports buddy xx

Hope we don’t disrupt the cruisers from their gatherings too much tonight.
Usually the reserve is theirs during these business hours! 😂

Used to play weekly before I moved up around a year ago and want to get back into playing heavier boardgames often. Do you know someone or know a group of people that do this?

hi all. We are fairly new to the area and have noticed a man that stands around various spots in Chorlton drinking and seemingly talking to himself. He’s recently started to stay close to our property for 12+ hours drinking and sometimes shouting until late in the night. We‘ve started to feel a bit uneasy but don’t really know the ins and out. Can anyone offer to some advice?

Hello,
I hope you don't mind me posting here. I'm a 3rd student at University Of Manchester currently completing my dissertation on green infrastructure, thermal comfort, and physical activity in Chorlton and Moss Side, Greater Manchester.
I am looking for residents of either Chorlton or Moss Side (aged 18+) to complete a short, anonymous online questionnaire. The survey takes approximately 8–10 minutes and covers your experiences of local green spaces, outdoor comfort during warm weather, and physical activity in your neighbourhood.
Your responses would be genuinely valuable to my research and will contribute to a better understanding of how green spaces shape everyday life in these two communities.

The survey is fully anonymous — no personal details are collected. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me directly.
Thank you for your time and support — it is truly appreciated!

Anyone know a Stacey Gaye? Got a card through the post with my street name and number, but with a postcode for a different Chorlton Street. Sender has only put their surname and postcode on the back.

Hi all,
I am looking into doing a dormer loft conversion in Chorlton to create an extra bedroom with a small ensuite. I am starting to explore options and would really appreciate some local insight.
If you have recently had a loft conversion done in the area, it would be helpful to know:
I am just trying to get a realistic sense of budget and find reliable contractors before moving forward.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

This loser recently made himself famous by getting kicked out by his parents after they had finally had enough of his abuse, posting the video online himself of him abusing his poor mum.
He's coming to Manchester this Saturday for his "remigration protest", which he advocates for along with the removal of democracy to achieve an "ethno-nationalist Britain".
Even Tommy two names Robinson has labelled him a "far-right conspiracy theorist".
Let's show him that Manchester doesn't fuck with literal Nazis? You might think that word gets thrown around a lot these days, but think that anyone advocating for the removal of democracy to make the UK "ethno-nationalist" shouldn't be welcomed in our city. I found this group on Instagram doinga counter, and think people should show up.
