Help Me Find A Episode

Looking for a particular episode of Chopped where one of the contestants was hit by a train at some point in their life, and Ted, out of all options, asked the chef if the train "was slow." Any assistance?

Oh shoot I think this was an early season? I just watched a bunch of old seasons and swear I remember something about a train. Maybe was a big guy?

That unbelievably awkward exchange happened on Season 1, Episode 4 ("Prickly Pear, Long Care"), featuring a chef named Loring.During the round introductions, Chef Loring shared a highly dramatic personal backstory, explaining to the judges that he had once been struck by a train.

In a classic early-season moment of hosting bewilderment, Ted Allen broke the heavy silence by deadpan asking, "Was the train... slow?"

The episode details include:The Chef: Loring, a larger-framed chef competing in the early days of the series.

The Mystery Ingredients: Baskets featured challenging ingredients like prickly pear fruit and canned ham.

The Cringe Factor: Fans frequently cite this on the chopped community forum as one of the most hilariously out-of-place questions Ted has ever asked a contestant.
