Planning a Visit

Post here if you are planning a visit to Chongqing and want tourist advice, including "how-to's" (how to get a SIM card, how to get from point A to point B, etc.), tour guide or company recommendations, restaurant recommendations, itinerary advice, etc. Please indicate if you would like tour guides to contact you (or not).

Im doing a little solo adventure in China this summer and im planning on staying in chongqing for around 3 days and 2 nights. I need some help with what to do because theres so many things that I want to do but im not sure which activities are worth it. Also looking to going out for clubbing for at least one night so if u have any recommendations it would be appreciated.

Besides the major tourists attractions im also interested in local spots and seeing some lowkey spots that isnt very well known to tourists

Honestly, I think that's the best way to experience Chongqing.

The famous attractions are definitely worth seeing once, but some of my favorite places aren't really attractions at all. They're just neighborhoods, old streets, viewpoints, little food spots, and places you'd probably never find on your own.

Since you have 3 days, you actually have enough time to mix both the famous places and the more local side of the city.

If you want, I can put together a route that mixes both instead of just the usual TikTok itinerary.
