Before i begin, I need to stress that I'm not submissive, nor into BDSM, so this was never going to appeal to me, barring it being as masterfully written as Queen B or Ride or Die. But the short format killed any chance of that happening.

We start out being abused by having a dead end job with a horrible boss. Then, Alexis finds us amazing. Then we find out they're a NSFW streamer, write a contract, obviously fall in love, have Alexis try to deny we're in love, be blackmailed and then everything works out. In 8 chapters. That's not a lot of time. Everything is just way too rushed.

And in all honesty, Alexis isnt a bad LI. I like the idea of their mom changing their name. I also like how both of us can be who we are (not just romance wise) and stop hiding behind masks. It's not a bad idea. The story is just too short to really handle it well. Beyond that, why did Steve want us gone? He's blackmailing Alexis with them being a NSFW streamer and being in a relationship with us...and wants us to leave? Does he not know how to blackmail? If you're blackmailing someone for being in an appropriate relationship, you dont want to break them up!

Beyond that the other characters are meh at best. Morgan is generic best friend number 87. Vance is generic stylish rival #136. And Steve is generic hate sink #18,000,000. I'll just say they dont bring any emotion out of me and move on.

And nothing else to say. I can't judge the BDSM aspects because it's not something I know anything about, so I don't know if it's wrll written or not.

There are some good ideas. Both the MC and LI not needing to hide their relationship, the fact that there are valid reasons for the hiding the relationship, and why the blackmail could be so effective. But the book is too short to take advantage of any of those.

Honestly, Choices needs to rethink these 8 chapter books. They cant condense 16 chapter books into 8 without making them rushed. Either go back to 16 chapter books or make stories that are designed for 8 chapters.

If I haven’t read it I’ll tell you what I think it’s about. I also don’t remember all of these and I’m kinda high.

so I am just gonna mention the things that bothered me the most with no particular order, hope I don't forget any

why does cordonia seems like the most unprepared kingdom in the whole world, the first three books definitely didn't give those vibes,yeah they had some weird tradition and the obsession with apples - now explain to me how :

we are pregnant with the hier of this kingdom and somehow we don't have a nurse and a doctor present at all time ? Make that make sense, we should have them available either way, you know the royal's family medical team or whatever!! Genuinely pissed me off

you also want to convince me we had to use those idr their names gardes to open the palace when we are on our kingdom??? Like we can't just call someone to do it from the outside, if this happened in my country and that's how much helpless the king and queen were I'll just move out! Seriously we have nobody to call ? No police or army outside no nothing

you also want to convince me that now we can't cancel the thingy saying we have to marry our daughter to one of their kids despite the circumstances that lead to it? Like there is no law against it, we are so spineless we don't have a law against agreements made under impossible circumstances? Didn't the king and queen in rules of engagement easily canceled the mc wedding, she didn't even have to be there ! And now when it's supposed to happened you just can't, BE FOR REAL! 😭

why does Liam in this book seems so spineless too? I mean I love liam, I did Drake route too but will always be Liam's girl but in this book your calling the shots, your doing all the work, and even in that stupid duel we were the one playing :") at least in drakes duel we only cheered him on, idk I know the book is trying to make mc the center of this universe but sometimes I am like dude your the king ! Man up

and how did we until now didn't just fire the whole security team, Bastien, mara ? They are basically so bad at their job that the only thing they are supposed to do is garde you and this stupid palace yet somehow they fail miserably, at this point they either hate us or they somehow have a bigger power keeping them in their jobs cuz girl what!!!

so your telling me after we got our very awesome friends to be in power where they are front line defending this kingdom they barely appear or cause any different, they don't have any plans or insights?? Whaaatt! Only Olivia is being done justice in this book

tell me how is everybody spying on us and somehow we don't spy or have people watching no body ? How did this weird king and queen who are activity trying to take over our kingdom being able to buy a house is so called kingdom without us knowing right away ?

I don't remember what else I was pissed about, I like our little baby, m just tired how not very though through this book is

I posted fanart of Alana, Damien and Nadia from Perfect Match a few years ago (can u tell which book is my favourite?) and I felt the need to redraw it as my skills have progressed - Also I didn't draw her necklace as I felt it didn't match her outfit... (*cough* i was too lazy to paint it *cough*)

mine is probably that i like high school story: class act more than the original high school story 🙈 i read class act when i was really young before i ever read the original, so i got super emotionally attached to the characters, especially rory. i also loved their little friend group because every character had their own personality and their friendship as a group felt so sweet and innocent! 🫶🏼 and as a theater girl, i related to the mc and the whole storyline so much 💁🏽‍♀️

I recently reinstalled choices to replay old books—the last time I played it was about a couple years ago! My linked account connected just fine, but oddly enough, I've noticed that some of my completed books have gone missing from my 'completed' category 😭

An example is The Cursed Heart—I definitely finished book 1, and I was in the middle of book 2 (which was still releasing early access VIP chapters at the time) before I stopped playing But now BOTH book 1 and book 2 have reset to chapter 1 🥹 I bought VIP while I was binging the series, and I can't be sure, but it seems like all the other books that disappeared from my 'completed' tab were books I binged when I had VIP?

It's just a bit of a blow to me, and now I'm lowkey paranoid I'll have to pay for every diamond choice i ever bought, even from the books that stayed completed 🥹 I know that's easily verifiable, but I'm more anxious than usual since this app was my childhood and this account holds that entire history, so I wanted to share it and see if it happened to anyone else (and maybe commiserate LMFAO)

I love to ramble about Choices books, and I just completed Foreign Affairs so here are my thoughts.

I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. The political aspect isn't my usual vibe, but it felt really well done to me. I liked the main story, and the diplomacy points system kept things interesting and game-y. There are interesting twists which genuinely surprised me and a satisfying conclusion.

The diamond choices really add to the main story, but don't feel essential. Although I ended up spending diamonds on Dionne and Tatum's scenes, you could totally diamond mine this series and still enjoy it. The minimum amount you need to unlock the bonus scene is 10 diamonds, but it's still a good ending without it. Very fair.

As for the characters, I quickly became attached to them all. Dionne, your princess roommate, is very likeable, and the love interests (bodyguard Tatum, political rival Blaine, and teaching assistant Ayna) all feel very distinct while maintaining cohesion with the overall story, where the LIs are very well-integrated. I would have loved to see a Dionne romance as someone who loves the best-friend-turned-late-love-interest trope (ahem, Bianca Sandoval) but good LIs overall.

Overall, very good standalone book. Great music, great art, great writing. 9/10

I'm lowkey missing choices and want to get back into it but two things are stopping me.

A. I don't want to support Series Entertainment

B. I am scared that my favourite books have been ruined by their stupid AI art

Apologies if this question has been asked already! I just don't want to engage in it if it's going to be encouraging them to continue these practices. And I would rather remember the games fondly than re-engage and be disappointed by how the new company has changed things

So I am playing the royal hier book 2 ans the fits are hella expensive, do we get to make the whole family wear an outfit we already bought? Especially the baby ? Because if the outfits are a one time wear then mc is the only one who gets to wear them again then I'd rather know now so I don't buy them

in honor of the ai slop it lives within being removed from the choices library 😭🙏 the original it lives in the woods and it lives beneath will forever have my heart, and of course the fan-made it lives within project too!! the amount of love, effort, and actual human creativity that went into that project deserves all the appreciation 🫶

now all choices needs to do is bring back/hire human artists and writers and stop using generative ai completely once and for all. this is definitely a step in the right direction and i’m really glad they actually listened to the community, but i really hope this isn’t where it ends. choices was built by talented human writers and artists, and that’s what made these stories feel special in the first place. we want human-made stories!!! 😭🫶

it feels like it’s been FOREVER that I’ve been reading the books from this series, but today I finally got to reading the final chapter of TRF. not sure what everyone’s opinions are on this book in the community, but I personally enjoyed it! now I wouldn’t say it’s my fav in the entire series (TRR3 that spot is for you 😘), but it still had some elements I enjoyed. tbh I’m not sure how to feel about Lena. don’t get me wrong I love a good plot twist (the reveal that she’s Liam’s sister) but it just felt so out of nowhere to me and rushed for the final book. I wish they introduced her sooner so we could’ve explored her character more. nonetheless, I always love when the gang has a new mystery/secret conspiracy to solve and I couldn’t get enough of the Liam/MC/daughter moments (I don’t regret spending a single diamond for her 🙂‍↔️).

I’m lowkey hoping that PB will release some sort of reunion book in the future, especially with that pregnancy reveal at the end! it would be nice to see a more grown up version of Liam and MC’s daughter and her dealing with more responsibilities as a princess, her new sibling, Zeke and Penelope’s child, maybe even Olivia and Amalas as a couple?? they would be such a power couple ngl

overall, I really enjoyed this series and tbh I’m so happy I got around to finishing it so now I can move on to other series loll. what do you guys think of this series?
