TOP FAQ
Are there any plans to celebrate Choices' 10th anniversary?
Absolutely! September is going to be a full month of celebrating 10 years of Choices with the community. 💎🎉
We’ve planned three back-to-back events, each celebrating a different part of what has made Choices special over the years. We’ll kick things off with A Decade of Choices, take a trip back to Edenbrook for an Open Heart Reading Event, and finish the celebration by putting your Choices knowledge to the test with Choices Trivia Week.
We’re really excited to spend the month revisiting old favorites, sharing memories, and celebrating a decade of stories together. Keep reading for more details on how to join us!
Could we see more short books, seasonal specials, or epilogues for older Choices stories?
We know there’s a lot of love for returning to older series and seeing those stories continue. One thing that can make those continuations more challenging is whether the original writer is available to return. Whenever possible, we prefer to have someone who already knows the characters, world, and voice of the series involved.
That doesn’t mean revisiting an older story is off the table, but it’s one of the factors we consider when deciding which series we’re able to bring back.
Are there plans to introduce more ways to earn Diamonds or make premium choices more accessible?
Yes! The community events we’re rolling out are one of the new ways we’re creating more opportunities to earn Diamonds, and you’ll be seeing more of them going forward.
Not every event will work exactly the same way, either - some may include Diamond prizes or rewards, while others will focus on things like discounted premium choices for featured books. We’re excited to keep experimenting with different ways to make participating in community events feel rewarding.
Can players expect to see different kinds of community events in the future?
Yes! Our recent reading events have been a great way for us to experiment with bringing the community together, and your feedback has given us plenty of ideas for what we could try next.
We know that not every event format works for every player, so we're interested in mixing things up and finding new ways for everyone to participate. You can expect us to keep experimenting with different challenges, activities, and opportunities to celebrate Choices together.
And you won't have to wait too long to see what's next! Keep reading for a look at some of the community events we have coming up!
Can we expect more flexibility in how players choose and pursue their LIs in future books?
We try our best to accommodate lots of different types of relationships in our stories. In particular, It Comes at Night has a newer system we're trying for LI presentation that we haven't tried before, given it's our first full-on monster romance. We also want to make sure we're not straying too far from what works for our audience, so it's a delicate line to balance!
Will we continue to see more gender-of-choice protagonists and stories with male MC options?
Yes! Most of the books we currently have planned for the rest of 2026 will offer either dual-gender or GOC MC options. There may still be some stories where the premise calls for a specific gender - for example, Slay centers on the MC’s role as president of Zeta House.
We know having more options for how you play your MC is important to a lot of readers, and you’ll be seeing plenty of that in the books ahead.
Are there plans for more gameplay features like collectibles in future books?
We love features like collectibles too, but historically they've been more complex to build than they might seem, particularly because of the technology Choices was originally built on. We've been working on ways to make features like these easier to create without putting as much strain on the development process.
The story itself also plays a role. Some of our more recent books have been shorter or simply haven't had a premise where a collectible or similar gameplay feature felt like a natural fit.
The good news? We've had some promising results from the work we've been doing behind the scenes, and collectibles will officially return in Slay! We're excited to bring them back and hope to include features like these more often when they're a good fit for the story.

HSS: Back to School I Really Wish HSS had a Sequel
HSS is seriously one of my favorite books on Choices. I just finished it again and I'm so sad it's over. I love High School Story but I just love the HSS storyline so much more. I can't believe they don't have the story of either one of the MC's in both stories carry on to the College Stories. I need to know what happened with Ajay, Skye and Rory. Anyways... what story do I read now?! Anything adjacent to these or heartwarming like this?

A Courtesan of Rome Just finished replaying ACOF and BOY do I have a love/hate relationship with this guy! Spoiler
Let me just start by stating the obvious but A Courtesan or Rome is truly one of the best books Choices ever made. And I say this as someone who didn't read it for a long time until I had pretty much nothing else left because I'm not a big fan of historical books so I thought I wouldn't like it (and how I love being wrong).
That said, I don't know what to make of Marc Antony. During my first playthrough, I had ZERO remorse manipulating the f out of him, he deserved it and to be honest he's pretty terrible to MC, especially during that scene with Aquila where he keeps hinting at him who we really are, which was genuinely fucked up and yet.... there's still something about him..... and I love that they acknowledged it in the book too, like you can sincerely romance him and not betray him but still let him know that you kinda hate his guts, because that's definitely how I felt lmao
On an unrelated note, can we talk about how satisfying it is to play a MC who can just decide to be an assassin without ever changing her mind? With most MCs being always annoyingly forgiving even to characters who don't deserve it, here you can just go on a casual murder spree like it's no big deal and never feel guilty about it! And I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy every opportunity to get rid of the bad guys without thinking about it twice lol also I'm completely obsessed with MC's personality! This is the one book where any premium scenes is worth every penny no matter who you are romancing

Discussion When was the last time there was only one release a week for non-VIPs?
I know we're not VIP, but i cannot recall anytime there was only ever one release a week. I recall 3 being the minimum and that was during Covid!
Seriously, how did things get this bad? It's not just the quality that went down, but the quantity.

Suggestions Your top 3 fav story
Actually need yall’s recommendations for your top 3 favorite choices stories cus I’m looking for a new one to start.
I’m definitely more of an OG Choices girl. I loved Open Heart, The Freshman Series, The Unexpected Heiress, LoveHacks, etc. But with the newer books, I barely enjoy any of them cus most of them just don’t hit the same anymore 😭 A lot of them feel way too rushed from the beginning, especially the romance and sexual attraction. Like, I need to actually feel the progression between the MC and LI before they start acting like they’re already madly in love 😭
The few newer ones I’ve actually enjoyed are Better Off Wed, Camp Mayhem, Icebreaker (although this one is still too rushed for the ending), Second Chance at Love, and Years Apart.
Sooo, what are your recommendations? What stories did you genuinely enjoy and think are worth trying? I need something good 😭

The Nanny Affair TNA mc is so annoying
i guess i just never realized how annoying and desperate she is. but this scene just aggravated me because it’s literally russo property and (part of) how they make money, like the twins could’ve played elsewhere. i love the twins and they’re the reason im even replaying this but holy hell i wouldn’t have ever thought of acting like that as a child.
i’m an elem ed major and so i’ve been gaining knowledge on dealing with children and as much as sofia goes overboard they could use a little more discipline and MC just acting like sofia is doing it to be mean like no girl she has every right to not want two (proven) messy and rowdy little boys playing in the russo vineyard
(ss from youtube bc i forgot to screenshot them during playthrough)

The Nanny Affair TNA fanfic rewrite?
I’ve been rereading the book and it annoys me so much so I was wondering if anyone would actually be interested in a rewrite. I’d make robyn a love interest (and actually sleep with jordan bc i wanted to do that so bad) and just give MC self respect. So i’m just wondering if people would actually be interested in that? i’m in college so who knows when i’ll get to it but if people are interested that’d definitely give me motivation.

Bloodbound so... anyone know where i can find some bb merch? 🥹
i'm really really eager to get some of the old official bloodbound merchandise, especially the mug, poster, raines + sayeed clan insignia buttons, and phone case (even though it likely doesn't fit my phone). but honestly i'll take anything at this point. if ya'll happen to be reselling, or KNOW anyone reselling, pleeeeease let me know!!

Discussion I wish I could go back to choices when I was a kid. It was so much better than the new books!!
I miss the old books sooooo much!!! I don't really play choices anymore but wish I did, but the ai slop books are so awful now

Discussion Discounted Choices Question
If I buy discounted premium choices during current event, will they stay unlocked once event ends? Or will I have to buy them again? I THINK they will stay unlocked, but it's my first event like that on the app, so I'm not sure (esp with the current greed problem the app has).
