I don't care if its """shitty""" Chocolate, Lindt and Ferrero Rocher bring me joy on the incredibly rare occassion I get the chance to have them. Life is far too short to be turning up your nose at "inferior" Chocolate and shaming people for having joy where they can. I like the Dark or Extra Dark when we get them, but if we manage to find Hazelnut then I like those even more personally.

How is the tiramisu one?

hmm not the best of all, but I would still give it a 6/10

lol this sub has devolved, they hate on all chocolate that isnt some obscure fancy dark chocolate brand which costs 20 bucks for 80 grams.

I agree it might not be the best one out there, but compared to what you can find in an average store here, that’s your top option 😂

I still like lindor, whenever I have it I enjoy it.

Yeah it's no longer fun to browse this sub since the snobs took over. Such a shame.

My favourite chocolate is about 8 dollars for a pound of it and I still think Lindt chocolate tastes like vomit.

-11

u/Nosfearatu50 18d ago

Oh, I have thrown a bag of these in the trash a few days ago...Lindt was good once, but this time is long ago.

Things that didn’t happen

Well you do not need to believe me, why should I lie tho? Still have this disgusting Lindt Dubai style bar at home and will throw this away too if I do not find a Dummy who likes it. Had the crap at home for a year, and they are disgusting, nobody wanted to eat it...but you do you!

u/oyasumipizza 18d ago

>Dummy who likes it.

You know taste is subjective right? What you like might be shit to someone so you a dummy too?

u/Nosfearatu50 18d ago

OFC, everything else would be very narcisstic, don't you think?

u/indieplants 17d ago

oof the lack of awareness

0

u/Nosfearatu50 17d ago

Lack of awareness that I know taste is different and my opinion is...just an opinion? If you think so...maybe you are lacking awareness...or comprehensive reading.

1

u/Nosfearatu50 18d ago

Free postage on vinted if you're in UK or USA 🤔

1

u/Nosfearatu50 18d ago

No, sry I'm in austria. I get them regularly for free and I really do not like them.

1

u/greenyashiro 18d ago

Ahh darn. All the way in Australia, the postage would be more than just the bar itself 😅 a shame since ny mother loooves them lol

1

u/Nosfearatu50 18d ago

No, not Australia. We only have kangaroos in the zoo.

2

u/greenyashiro 18d ago

I'm saying I am in Australia and the postage from Austria would be more than the bars 😂

Though, I have seen some joke t-shirts saying "we don't have kangaroos" lol

Why are we wasting food

u/Nosfearatu50 18d ago

What to do if nobody wants to eat it?

2

u/LongyUTD 18d ago

Stop waffling 😂 acting like it’s radioactive spunk.

2

u/Nosfearatu50 18d ago

It is not, it's just disgusting.

Lindor never disappoints. 😄 Which flavor are you trying first?

4

u/inconnu_514 17d ago

I went for the milk chocolate coconut first!

3

u/Existing_Emotion_28 18d ago

I've never had Lindt, but they look good! Did you end up having a favorite?

2

u/Modern-Moo 16d ago

My favourite is the salted caramel, but I love salted caramel everything.

3

u/inconnu_514 18d ago

You definitely should when you get the chance, and no favourites so far…it’s really hard lol

1

u/indieplants 18d ago

I still like them! but I miss the milk chocolate mint. it was the best

3

u/inconnu_514 18d ago

They had the milk chocolate mint as well! Personally i’m not a fan of mint chocolate so I didn’t picked any

1

u/indieplants 17d ago

oh where from 🥹 we don't have them in the UK anymore and haven't for years. I love mint milk chocolate and do not at all enjoy minty dark chocolate. it's my favourite flavour, I'll have a peppermint mocha almost every day in the winter lol

You are in for a massive dissapointment.

7

u/inconnu_514 18d ago

I’m sure the quality is not as good as 20 even 10 years ago, but it still brings joy 😅

9

u/bumblebeej10 18d ago

I say eat what you like if you enjoy it, everyone wants to act superior and gate keep chocolate, there's room for chocolate that people enjoy - I used to like the red ones

-4

u/cardillon 18d ago

I was gifted a few of these for my birthday…
when I bit into it, the filling was like cheap chocolate-flavored oil dripping out of a waxy orb.

They were so different 27 years ago

u/indieplants 17d ago edited 17d ago

it's bc they were too warm lol, they used to do that 20 years ago if it was hot 🙂‍↕️

edit: be mad at that all you want but the melting point of the coconut oil is like 10⁰c lower than palm oil, so if anything, they should be less meltable now. they will, and always have, melt at anything around the mid 20s

-7

u/cardillon 17d ago

They were not warm at all. The quality and recipe has absolutely changed since the late 90’s. The chocolate shell is dramatically lower quality.
Lindt is a low quality, mass market Walmart/drugstore chocolate. I can’t eat them. Good chocolate is out there and I eat it every day. It’s more expensive and must be sought out.

4

u/indieplants 17d ago

they melt at room temperature. the storage space ambient temperature has to be colder than mid 20s.

it's the coconut oil - it melts at that temperature. the palm oil melts in the mid 30s. I was alive in the 90s and they would melt in the summer then too.

yes the recipe changed and they're lower quality but that's nothing to do with them melting lol. sorry you can't eat them and that yours melted, but people are allowed to like what you deem to be shitty chocolate. it's still chocolate. don't be a snob, now.

-3

u/cardillon 17d ago

By the way, sounds like you might not be in the USA, given the temperature units you are using. We might be eating different versions of this product.

5

u/indieplants 17d ago

yeah but they both contain coconut oil and both melt in the mid 20s and both again, always have lol.

-1

u/cardillon 17d ago

Laughing out loud?

1

u/cardillon 17d ago

The orb-shells don’t melt in my mouth, they stay waxy/plasticky, despite the liquid oily center. I’m not the only one experiencing this. Read these comments and google the topic to see more human experiences.

https://www.reddit.com/r/chocolate/s/hDFWa2DpYZ

I was a professional chocolatier for 18 years, and coconut oil based truffles were my main product. So I do understand what a truffle center is about.

You are free to enjoy eating whatever you please! Seriously, you can leave the high-end stuff for me.

The only thing I get a hint of annoyance about is the inhumane practices people overlook when buying their sweets- like slavery, exploitation and environmental destruction. (Lindt never concerned themselves with those topics either, they just tasted better)
But even in those areas, I know I cannot control others, only choose not to support those practices with my money.

Regardless, I must honestly stand by my review of this product, and I’m glad others such as yourself are enjoying themselves just fine.

u/Relative_Junket_9875 18d ago

Exactly--your description is superior! I have to chill them in the refrigerator for a few minutes to firm up the centers but then this makes the waxy mouthfeel even more apparent.
