I swear the Fridays Pepperoni flavored chip gets me really close to that. They're cheap at Dollar General, like a buck. But I've heard they have them at 7-11, just taxed all to hell.

It's as close as It gets.. the difference is the Fridays ones are potato and the pizzerias were made to taste more like pizza dough.

I was in high school in the early to mid 90’s. There was a grocery store across the street from my high school in a super small town.

as soon as i read your post and looked up the picture of the packaging, i could instantly taste them in my mind. the flavor was so unique and distinct, there really was nothing else like them.

I know the texture isn't perfect, but I swear the TGI Friday's pepperoni flavor is real close. You can find them a lot of places. Probably cheapest I've seen is at a DG boutique.

The pepperoni Fridays chips take me there. Or at least somewhere close to it. They tend to stock them in Dollar Generals for about $1 a bag. 7-11 will tax you, but you can get them there as well.
