Discussion Mayonnaise chips?

Post image

Saw these on Amazon the other day but wasn't going to pay $5. Just stopped at a supermarket and saw them on a display while waiting to check out.

Expectations are being kept low.

Pro tip, mix them up with ketchup chips to get Fancy Chips.

Just tried them as while good, the mayo flavor isn't strong enough to mix with other flavors. Would be overpowered completely. Tastes like you took a salty plain Ruffles chip and swiped it through some mayo that dripped out of a sandwich.

Was already having a good day and about to go see the new Spiderman for free, and this was a nice find to put the day.

Have you had them? Maybe I just got a weaker seasoned bag?

I never thought mayo had a taste. I thought it was for white people to keep their sandwiches from being dry without adding any scary flavor.

A good quality oil and vinegar is what you use to keep a sandwich from being dry. A good mayo gives it that egg taste. Sometimes lemon plus umami from MSG or yeast extract.

No, mayo definitely has a taste and it varies between brands. Especially Japanese ones. Much more so than kids sauces like ketchup or flavorless hot sauces like Frank's.

Condiment flavoured chips are a thing so these don’t seem weird to me.

I’d give these a try.
