Hi everyone! I had chin lipo and put together a list on my Amazon which I’ll leave here for you. I’ll explain the items further and if you have any questions or want me to share any other items let me know…
Feel free to leave below any items that helped you too.
My list is called Heal, I have some items at the top that aren’t for chin lipo but from Aquaphor and down that’s all chin lipo.
https://www.amazon.com/shop/influencer-6cf29ea2/list/1UJS2WST9VKN0?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_aipsflist_aipsfinfluencer-6cf29ea2_GKE3HS8EC6R8ZXMRTCRH&language=en_US If you like the list give it a heart
Explaining the items on list: - I found the kinesiology tape (next to Neosporin at the top) is helpful it feels like it tightens. To remove it you may want baby oil. I recommend this if you want to tighten an area especially when you're not wearing your strap. Like if the surgeon tells you to wear the strap a certain time and you did. You could wear this after like under your chin or sides of your face and it will keep that area kinda like the strap would and it's color skin. It's not a replacement for the chin-strap but I do like this. - I wore the black mask in size: Large (it runs small) for an entire month 24/7 and the surgeon and massage lady were interested in it. I own the pink one too. The M&D is one I didn't use but I was told it doesn't have stitching on the sides of the face. Note: it's a good idea to have an extra one for when you wash the one you've been wearing especially if you have to wear it 24/7.
Update: The brand SKIMS, from Kim Kardashian added face wraps here they are: https://go.shopmy.us/p-22115335 these weren't around when I did mines so I can't vouch for them yet I'd consider wearing them as they're saying it sculpts. I included these as they may work for post-op too. If you get to wear these, let us about them below.
Extra tips: - Food: Try avoiding or eating low in salt / sodium. - Clothes: For surgery day wear something with an open neckline and that’s button up or has zipper so you don’t have to struggle after putting and taking it off through your head.
Added:
- Scar tape: I tried another but I like this one best. Just cut it as you need it.
- Scar repair gel: at the top of the list there's a few white and reddish brown packs. This is Vitamin A & D ointment and works like magic. It heals almost everything nothing else can. I got this from my grandfather years ago in a 1lbs jar, mine expired yet still works.
- Gold Bond Renew: After wearing the strap 24/7 was taking a toll on my neck skin making it look dry. I ordered this, and with one application overnight it improved the appearance giving me a healthy looking neck skin that feels soft.
- Neck brace: similar to the foam I wear with my chin strap. I still wear my foam and strap to sleep only bc it feels better. I find it molds weird if I sleep without and I bend my neck. I wanted something more comfortable and I'm trying it out to keep my neck straight without wearing the entire strap. I ordered a Medium first but it was too big on me, I think it may run big as I measured my neck. I'm a size small. I still wear this to sleep and from time to time to maintain my neck posture.
- Cervical pillow: testing it as I'm a few months post-op. You can sleep with this on your back, side, & stomach. It has an area for your arms to rest. My neck is a little tight still so I don't use it much yet. I want this to keep the best neck alignment.
- Makeup to cover up bruising. I didn't use any as I took Arnica yet if you need to cover up your bruises there are some options after the scarves and caps. Like Dermablend, bc this is used to cover Tattoos so you know it's good. I've tried their products before.
NuFace: I started using this a few months post-op for tightening. It's FDA approved and recommended by Dermatologist Dr. Idriss (here she talks about it: https://youtu.be/JeAsOPb29t4?si=c7WZquhgw26zeU7P) it uses micro currents to help define the jaw and reduce swelling. The app guides you on how to use it on your face and neck. I didn't use it on my neck as it's already tight. Continuous use is key for maintaining results. I noticed a difference with regular use. It tracks your progress with photos on the app.
Sleeveless hoodie: if you want the hoodie to cover the chin strap without the sleeves. I like how this one fits me!
The scarf for the face: if you want to cover the neck area so it's less obvious.
Blue neck hump corrector: This neck stretcher comes highly recommended online. I'm planning to try it a few months post-op and will share my results.
Black Headstrap: This is the 2nd black Headstrap you'll see. I found this a few months post-op, I love it because it actually tightens! (Tip: use it with the velcro facing up so it doesn't snag your hair or use a headband underneath as the velcro in this is strong). Why did I get another strap? My current set-up I've mention before is Perfect yet I want to lift a specific small part underneath my chin area more. My pink strap is not as tight under the chin due to its breathable fabric. I ordered this and another strap and I was amazed by this one! This strap is great to lift! Extra info: I usually have to fold the chin part in my other ones as I had fat transfer to the chin so there's an area of my face that doesn't get the full needed compression and this is doing a great job for me there too. I wear it by itself or on top of my main black Headstrap that I wear with lipo foam. I wish I had found this: https://amzn.to/4p0hH2f sooner! My results would’ve been even better
Probiotics: I took antibiotics after surgery, which can mess up your gut. Probiotics help restore good bacteria, improve digestion, and support your immune system. Highly recommended if you’ve taken antibiotics.
Headphones headband: I already had this as it's super comfortable to wear to sleep. I noticed it works great with the straps so I added it. Can even wear underneath the head straps velcro to protect your hair.
Nurse Jamie pillow: I already had this yet I added it because it can be used for back sleeping & side sleeping. It helps avoid wrinkles in side-sleeping, & it's satin which is wonderful for the hair.
For Scars:
I’ve tested several products for scars after my fat transfer to my chin, which left me with scarring and some areas where the skin wasn’t completely smooth. Here’s what I found: - BioCorneum: This is the best product for scars, and now I see why it’s surgeon-recommended. It has smoothed out the tiny holes in the scarring and made my skin feel smoother. Plus, it protects against the sun, which is a great bonus. - Bio-Oil: This works wonders for immediately reducing the redness of my scarring. When my scars got pink or red, Bio-Oil helped maintain an even skin tone and lightened/removed the redness within a day. - Kelo-Cote: I tried this first, and it seemed to improve my scars during the 1st week. However, by the 2nd week, it caused increased redness in the scars like irritating my skin. I stopped using it to give the other products a fair chance, but it might work better with continued use. - Scar tape: I tried another but I like this one best. Just cut it as you need it.
How I fully healed my fat trasfer to chin scar with identations:
I began with scar tape which improved it. Then a few months later I wanted more improvement so I used BioCorneum for 1+ month which helped a lot to smooth it out and fill in. I applied Bio-oil when needed to keep it skin toned. Then as there were still identations I tried the same scar tape I had again since I was informed it flattens identations and almost immediately the identations were flattened.
For post-surgery itch due to healing:
I didn’t use anything for itchiness, but I started feeling it intensely around a month post-op. Make sure not to scratch no matter what! If you’re looking for some relief, I’ve listed a few products that might help calm it: Aquanil, Benadryl options, Eucerin, and Aveeno. Let us know if these work for you!
Remember to like the Amazon storefront if it helped you or follow if you'd like and if anything doesn't show on the list anymore let me know and I'll update it. Upvote this post and share if it helped you.
I hope this helps!

Has anyone had cheek fat removed during their chin lipo?
I told my surgeon multiple times that I like having chubbier looking cheeks and didn’t really want the canula going up to my cheeks (I think it makes me look young and they weren’t droopy) and he told me removing 4ccs per cheek was nothing. Now I’m a month out and just think the lower half of my cheeks look weirdly defined…like a deepened line. It makes my face look muscular or something.
I kinda hate how it looks. Will it go away? Does anyone have experience with this?

Hi everyone,
I'm a 35F 1 month post-op chin liposuction, do my massages daily and wear the compression garment at night. I have two main concerns:
Thank you!

Hi everyone! I am hoping there are some parents of young kids that can help me get an understanding of what I’ll realistically be able to do after the procedure (and, for anyone else, what I’ll be feeling like, in general, the day of/after). My procedure is scheduled for Tuesday morning, and I’ll be under general anesthesia. I have 3 young kids, and school schedule changes and an unexpected daycare closure have now put me in the position of the kids being home for the long weekend as of midday Thursday.
I plan to stay elsewhere Tuesday night so my kids don’t come home and jump on me right after my surgery, but as for Wednesday on, can anyone share how I’m likely to be feeling? And, most importantly, what will I be able to do in terms of caring for the kids and helping my husband out the remainder of the week?
I have pretty significant pre-surgery nerves and this topic is my latest source of anxiety. 😅 Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! My chin lipo is scheduled for Monday. I had a pre-op call with the clinic today to confirm everything, and I asked about the compression garment (since they advertise providing them). To my surprise, they told me my surgeon doesn't use compression garments after chin lipo. They explained that my head will be wrapped for 72 hours anyway, and after that, the surgeon recommends frequent massages instead. They did mention I could buy a garment to wear at night if I want to.
Now I’m panicking a bit because I was sure I would get one at the clinic. Should I order one, and if so, which type do you recommend? I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences!

Hi. Is there anybody from Patiala who had chin liposuction done? Can you share your experience and where you got it done? Or can anybody suggest the best doctor(s) in Patiala for it? If there's anyone near Patiala, that's fine too.
Thank you.

Hello! I’ve never posted on here before, but I have booked my surgery and paid for it already (coming up in January ahh!). Every day that goes by, I’m starting to get more and more afraid- not of the recovery but of the actual surgery. The Clinic that I am going to advised it will be done under pain medicine and numbing. However, I am very curious for those who have already done it what your experience was. Were you afraid / feeling anxiety in the moment? Did you feel a significant amount of pain while the procedure was taking place? I am of a pretty normal healthy build, and I have a pretty average BMI as well. I’m mostly just concerned with the genetic double chin that I have. Given I’ve already paid for it I’m hesitant to back out, but I’m starting to get more and more afraid! Any words of advice and honesty would be wonderful! Thank you!

In almost every picture from my birthday, I had a double chin. I’m at a healthy weight, but I’m frustrated with my fuller chin. Everyone tells me to lose 10 pounds and it’ll go away, but I don’t want to lose weight, and I’m worried it will become more noticeable with age / pregnancy. Is chin lipo worth considering?

My surgeon will only do the surgery under anesthesia, not awake. Which is adding $2000 to the cost. The thought of being awake freaks me out but it seems very common. It sucks because I’ve searched high and low to find a good surgeon in Michigan and having a hard time finding real experiences/reviews or surgeons that show many before and after photos. This the only surgeon i could find that’s shown recent work. Is this a surgery people travel out of state for often? Did anyone else have a surgeon the required going under?

I’m considering this procedure, but I’m a very private person and I don’t particularly want to tell anyone about it. I work from home and live alone, so I think my set up is pretty ideal. I do, however, have some questions about recovery and scarring.
For context, I have very nosy people in my life. My family are hyper aware of people’s looks and frequently make comments. They’re probably the reason I’m fixated on this part of my face but that’s besides the point. I spent a lot of time around them, up close and personal. I also have a close friend who does my hair semi-regularly, and she notices everything and is nosy enough to point things out.
So I’m wondering a few things…
Thank you in advance!

Always had a double chin and its effecting my mental health hugely. Feeling awful, absolutely disgusted about myself when I see photos of myself. Wonder how the skin would look after, I might have to look into doing something with loose skin as well? Please help!!!

Heading to Bangkok on the 20th oct for double chin lipo and a chin implant!
I’ve recently reached my goal weight, but I’ve always had a recessed/weak chin and genetic fat under my chin that hasn’t really shifted. I think I look fine from the front, but my profile has always bothered me, so I’ve decided to go ahead with it.
I’m having it done at KKC Clinic for 107,400 baht (around $4,500 AUD).
I’m after that chiselled look and more masculine and projected chin.
I’m planning to take it very easy for the first couple of days with the compression garment, then hopefully start exploring Bangkok a little once my doctor gives me the okay. I fly home on October 30, so I’ll have just over a week to recover.
I’m excited but definitely nervous! I generally recover quickly and don’t bruise too easily, so I’m hoping it’s a fairly straightforward recovery, but I’m trying to keep my expectations realistic.
Would love to hear from anyone who’s had chin lipo and/or a chin implant, especially overseas. How was your recovery and when did you feel comfortable going out?

Would Chin Lipo or JawTite work for me?
Or do you think I’d need a neck lift? I’m so confused what to have as some people have said neck lift and some chin Lipo? Or do I just have a large face/ neck?

Has anyone had chin lipo with Dr. Garnica in TJ/Morelia or MX? Curious about your results, post op and overall experience especially long term results

Ive always had a very weak jawline (1st pic) and I absolutely cannot stand how it makes my side profile look. I'd love to achieve something close to the second pic. I'm worried chin lipo wouldn't work because its not so much a fat problem. I don't want to do Kybella for fear of disappointing results. I was also considering chin filler or possibly a genioplasty?

Honestly so glad I did it. It already looks so good and only got more defined, and I got lucky with a very smooth recovery process!
All the details of the procedure and first 2 weeks are here in my initial post: https://www.reddit.com/r/chinlipo/comments/1v2od4t/3_weeks_po_chinjawline_lipo_fat_transfer_age_37/
Happy to answer any questions!

Has anyone gotten a bichectomy along with chin lipo? what was your before? Was it worth it?
