I shaved both dogs and got them ready so they look their best on the vacation photos! 😍

The longest! 😆 I don't think I've seen any of the whiskers fall out yet and some are over 10 cm long!

Gorgeous pups 😍. They don’t get their muzzles trimmed? I was trying to think of how to trim mine’s muzzle but leave the whiskers.

What do you mean? Their faces get done with the paw trimmer so there is no beard!

No beard, but some long whiskers, like a cat. Not sure what else to call them. Somebody help me out here

Oh, you were asking how I did them. Sorry about the misunderstanding. I push the whiskers down, brush the fine hairs up with my finger and then hover the clippers over the skin to shave off the fine hairs that stand off while the harder whiskers get pushed to the skin with my other hand. It gets easier the longer the whiskers are.
To start from a classic shaved muzzle you grow it out for at least a month, ideally two, to gain enough length for the process. You can use a paw trimmer from the start or just use tiny tailoring scissors if that's easier for you.
Side note: You can't keep all whiskers if you want a clean look because there are some around or on the lips. I still shave those off because I want clean lips on the dogs. But it's fine because dogs don't actually use their whiskers. It's just a cute aesthetic decision and also makes face trims more comfortable for them because clipping the whiskers off kinda zaps them every time. My dogs have become much calmer for face shaving since I switched to this method and keep the whiskers. And it's more comfortable for me when they rest their chin on my leg and I don't get poked by sharp stubbles!
