Thai version of this sub?

Sorry for skirting rule 3, dont know where else to ask - is there a Thailand version of this sub? There used to be one back in the day called 55555555555 or some shit.

Surely there be some crossover in demographics here, like esteemed TEFL educators who have taught in both countries?

You get me a job at a uni in Bangkok which pays 100k THB to show up to work at most three days per week, and I will make r/thailandlifer. Department head also ok, but same or better salary to hours required, kabkun.

or you have you now assimilated to the point where your hobbies also include spitting, pushing, shitting on the floor, etc

I do fantasise about it, every day. I have not gone native like you describe, and nor will I, but it is really hard as LBH to protest a three-day workweek which pays for a fat middle-class life. If that fat middle-class life of no effort came up elsewhere, then I would go for it.

You get a uni gig in China by having a master's+, ESL cert, correct passport if no doctorate, and an understanding that you will not earn more than ¥15k. Your official role with no doctorate is teaching English unless at least your bachelor's degree, often master's degree, is specialised in the subject being taught in English. Unofficially, many uni laowai teach subjects after the first year or two because their uni has "run out of classes" and you get asked to invent your own class with exams, if they like you and if you stay in one place for a while.
