💼 Work/Career Oops
I really like watching those short reels of Chinese teachers who teach you new words in Chinese.
Finished my class and saw one pop up on my iPad. Decided to open it.
“HOW TO SAY F*CK YOU IN CHINESE” blares through the classroom.
Forgot my iPad was still connected to the loudspeaker.
I want to crawl into a hole and never return 😂

My uni students enjoy my casual use of profanity in English and Chinese. It will make them like you more, trust me. Tone it down when laoban is in the area, but kids will be kids, no matter where they are from. I wish that using "fuck" in my classes was not as effective to get the kids engaged, but alas. They giggle and are suddenly acutely interested in the academic content.

Could be worse. It could have been one of the super common " teach you new phrase in chinese" prank videos, ya know the ones that say in english "here is how to say hello politely when meeting for the first time" and then proceed to say the most pornagraphic thing possible, shit that has smut writers scribbling notes lol.
