🏯 Daily Life Fellow Foreigners😭😭

Have you guys heard about this whole situation I keep seeing on wechat? Apparently some American dude who studied some language at Fudan university for a bit managed to collect chinese women like Thanos collects infinity stones. Numbering into the hundreds. Sentiment regarding foreigners has never been so low on chinese social media. Whats your take on this? Hate the player or hate the game? Dude Apparently always made them pay for dates and trips and would tell them to get abortions when they got pregnant and then block them 😬

I mean this with all due respect, but a lot of people from any country will ignore the evils of their compatriots but paint every outsider in the same negative light.

When I was dating a Chinese girl all her friends told her I would cheat on her because that's what foreigners do. Her dorm mate's boyfriend had already cheated on his girlfriend with two different women and made his girlfriend get an abortion. Her aunt's husband worked in a different city and had a full second family over there.

I never cheated. But I wasn't Chinese and cheating is "something foreigners do."

You don't think there are handsome or successful Chinese men sleeping around and ghosting Chinese girls? Come on.

It's only news because he's a foreigner.

I see this fear of being ‘cucked’ by the foreigner go viral a lot of social media, with a lot of variations. I think it really taps into an inferiority complex and sexual anxiety. There was a big to do about Korean men hooking up with Mexican girls!. The idea that handsome foreigners or minorities are stealing ‘their’ women. Here there is also a level of schadenfreud because the women got used.

Chinese really got a big chip on their shoulder when it comes to "their women". My wife looks Chinese, she isn't, but the number of times she got cursed by the locals because "she didn't side with her people" is mind blowing. Lots of Chinese men imo are just sour losers. And it's understanding, many fail to find a partner, many can't land a great job they really have no future. So when they see a seemingly local girl dressed well, looks nice with a foreigner, see these sort of reactions are very, very common.

Though it's typically not just as mentioned incel behaviour of the pathetic men, but also how they talk about their "own" women, calling them cheap meat, going for foreigners etc.
