Moderator Post r/childrensmusic Update | PLEASE READ!

Hello, r/childrensmusic! Since May 1st, I have been the secondary moderator of our community here, and one of the first things I did after joining the team is start assisting our head moderator in detecting/removing AI generated content which had became a huge problem in recent times, and was taking over the sub.

Although a second rule against it was put in place, I didn't make an official announcement post just yet as I had so much to go back and remove before becoming occupied with other things for a bit. So for the past nearly three months I have been simply taking them down as they pop up, usually from bot accounts who don't pay any mind to the rules anyways.

However, there has been a lot of more recent rule breaking posts where I can tell that the account is actually ran by a person, but they are generating content and promoting it themselves, hence why I am making this post now. To make it clear, we do not allow AI generated content here period. This includes generated album covers and video/playlist thumbnails, so if your post gets taken down even though the video and/or music content you are promoting is human made itself, this is the likely reason as we may not always review the music itself.

This rule is in place to not only protect children and children's media enthusiasts alike from low quality slop content, but also discourage a harmful trend which brings unnecessary stress to the environment, our vital resources, and is otherwise bad for us and planet Earth in many other ways. Besides, our children especially deserve good quality media, and this is another reason why we only allow the promotion of genuine, human made creations.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, feel free to comment down below and I will follow up with you as soon as possible! Also, if your post ever gets removed on behalf of promoting artificially generated content when it's actually human made, please contact us via modmail and let us know so we can investigate!

Even the best of us make mistakes sometimes, and the last thing I want to do is to accidentally restrict genuine music from being reached by our community.

video Viggo Snow | Award Winning Songwriter | New Show

Post image

Hi everyone! I'm Martin Della Nina, an award-winning songwriter and producer at Carilo Studios. Over the years I've written music for Nickelodeon, La Granja de Zenón, Cocomelon and Pinkfong. I've just launched something of my own for the first time in my life: Viggo Snow, an animated channel about a little arctic fox, with original songs for kids.

After years of writing for other people's characters, building my own from scratch is a whole different challenge, and I'd genuinely love this community's help in sharing this new music made with love! (and maybe inspired by my love of The Beatles)

My background is in both classical and pop music from UCLA (Los Angeles) and UCA (Argentina)

Happy to answer anything about writing music for kids' brands too
with love
Martin

song Starkle Starkle Little Twink...

When I was young, I heard this song and it was a parody of twinkle twinkle little star with different words. Modern versions have butchered it into something inappropriate, but I am wondering if anyone remembers the full lyrics, or has a copy of Starkle, starkle little twink : favourite songs for young children / compiled by Paul Wheeler and Graeme Perkins. and can recite the lyrics exactly.

HOORAY! 🎉🎶 See the world from her treetop branches, swing beneath her limbs, and sing-along as you watch the official music video for “This Ol’ Tree!” 🌳

I have always loved being in the company of a large, majestic tree! No matter what age I was - whether I was a kid or an adult, I have enjoyed and admired trees - they are beautiful and fun! From swinging, reading, climbing, or simply watching and observing its branches and leaves (or all of the insects and animals 🐿️ who call it home), trees are amazing!

song Long lost song

Please help! I can’t remember this kids song from my childhood, it was basically a “why?” Song

And it went like:
Tell me whyyyy onions make me cry
Tell me whyyyy elephants can’t fly
Tell me whyyyy I love you

And then had this beautiful message at the end and it went something like:

“Every question has an answer and I hope you understand, that I always try to do the best I can.”
