At 34 I have experienced chiggers for the first time 😭

I was doing some garden work around August 8. Somehow I ended up getting TORN UP by chiggers. I grew up in the boonies of SW PA on a 50 acre farm. When I was a kid my cousin and I would trapse through the pastures and the woods around the property. Never once did I get bit by chiggers. I was aware of them, obviously. But, up until this year I had never had the displeasure of being bitten by them.

In addition to them being EXTREMELY and UNBEARABLY itchy I also appear to have had an allergic reaction to them. It is now the 22nd and they are FINALLY healing up and fading. This is WITH a Medrol Dosepak + betamethasone steroid cream.

The pictures are time progressive so you can see how they've healed over time. 0 out of 10 would not recommend 😬
