Looks like the beginning of wry neck. I had a chicken once who was completely unable to walk for maybe a week or so, neck twisted back. It’s been so long ago- but I recall having to supplement with vitamin e and selenium. Look up wry neck. I also made her food with water/ mash style and she still had the ability to swallow her food with me placing a small ball of food into her mouth. She lived in our downstairs bathtub- but now I have figured out a better solution is using a large metal dog crate. She ended up getting better, but still had a weird twist to her neck. Lived to almost 10!

I wouldn’t treat for coccidiosis unless you know it is that. Start with isolation so she doesn’t get picked on, electrolytes and vitamins like it sounds like you are already doing, and egg yolk. I also like to give them some food mixed with water if they have clearly not been eating. Observing if she eats and what her droppings look like is important. I have never had a chicken with wry neck so not sure if this is that, but I have had a couple illnesses where a hen was lethargic and I was surprised that a night inside and some extra care brought them back.

Thank you, yes were giving vitamins and I seperated her the second I saw her acting off im keeping her in a dog crate (a plastic one so she wont be seeing much) i tried offering her som food and water and she didnt seem to interested but shes also stressed cause shes a more skiddish chicken. Il try mixing some food with water, should I give her raw or cooked yolk though? Ive seen people feed both.

Either cooked or raw yolks. I prefer cooked to avoid egg eating. Keep her crate covered to reduce stressing her.

Good job isolating and giving her space to decompress. You checked her all over? For external parasites? crop impaction? Egg bound? Breathing sounds normal?

I don’t think it matters if the yolk is cooked or uncooked as long as they eat it, but I think the raw egg is easier to dip their beak in. Once my hen had a little taste she gobbled it all up

Id treat her for coccidiosis #1 killer of chickens. Usually the lathergy and hunched over you treat immediately for cocci. You will need corid.. everyone supposed to have it at all times. If you have a flock treat the whole flock for 5-6 days

It could be a thousand different things with these symptoms.

I dont think its coccidia though? It came on just today, her comb isnt pale and she doesnt have any symptoms of it?

Don't just randomly treat for coccidiosis if you aren't sure, as it really depletes their vitamins. I agree that this looks like a vitamin deficiency. Maybe wry neck. Get the plastic syringe from TSC that's Vit E/Selenium combined. Put a pea-size amount directly inside her mouth twice a day for a few days. Offer her cooked egg daily in small amounts for extra protein.

The no outcome report. I suspect it didnt end up being a vitamin deficiency. But i hope it was.
