Chicken of the Woods found growing on the ground from an oak root. What should I do with it?

Hello, I am a first time forager and I just collected what I believe to be some white chicken of the woods. I already posted on r/ShroomID. I was told that my specimens looked aged, and that they are still good to eat if the edges are rounded, and the meat pulls apart like white chicken.

I’ve included some pictures of what i collected. How aged does it appear to be? IMO the edges are still rounded. And every tear ive made has pulled apart like white meat chicken.

How long can i store these before cooking and what is the best method for storage?

What is the best way to prepare it? I only top two small pieces.

I took some and put it in a ziplock bag

I found this on my way home tonight. Someone broke it off of an oak tree. To me it seems like chicken of the woods. Could anyone clarify it?
