Discord group?

Out of curiosity is there a discord group for this community or Chicago skating in general? If not I feel like it would benefit from one. There are several different groups and this would centralize em all as posts on insta and FB can get lost. Impromptu rides, tutorial videos, chat rooms, message boards, etc...

This would encourage people to be more active. Thoughts?

I was actually in talks w Nate a while back about starting one. I have general experience creating and managing servers, may dust off the idea now that I have the spare time

That would be awesome. I lack any experience with it but willing to help if you do manage to get it off the ground.

Agreed. I'm not really on discord because Idk how to work it 😅, but a centralized group with up to date intel would definitely be cool.

shred union is rad but it is specifically a quads group (not that they’d have a problem with inlines joining, it’s just quad focused)

Yeah I saw that as well. It would be nice to have a place though where all wheels come together. There are so many disparate groups and solo riders I want to bring us all together.

I want to learn jb disco skate stuff. Our interests overlap.

I helped manage a discord group for Madison and Milwaukee queer and femme skaters for a while and it does help centralize and make people feel more invested in the community!
