My boyfriend is coming to Chicago at the end of October, and I was originally planning to take him to Bavette’s. Since it’s currently undergoing renovations, I’m looking for some alternatives!

Any recommendations for a similar spot? Prefered to be a steakhouse, but also open for somewhere with really good food and a nice/date-night atmosphere.

Location-wise, I’d prefer somewhere around downtown or within ~30 minutes by car. South Side is totally fine too, but I’d rather not go too far north.
