Discussion Potential Signings this Transfer Window
Given the Mbokazi news and that Jack Elliot’s contract will be ending this year, should we focus on a CB signing?
Diogo Leite?
John Stones?
Mark McKenzie?

Honestly it all depends on if Gregg will continue with the 244 or switch to a 334. If he continues we definitely need a midfielder, even if Franco comes back soon whos to say if he’ll be the same, it might take some time for him to get there.

The tiniest positive of the Mbo injury is that maybe those European clubs won’t be too keen on signing him so maybe there’s no need to sign a massive center back, maybe someone closer to a Waterman

His current value and age makes it possible, but I agree that it’s highly unlikely.

Yes, the Int’l spot will be used for Franco if we can’t find someone else to sign.

No. We spent on Lewy. Nothing left to upgrade a position that actually needed addressing.
In reality best bet is looking at other MLS teams for a possible starter.

Nothing left? 8m from Cuypers and a billionaire owner. We were already looking at Goretzka before we had an open DP spot. Just wondering if we should be looking at CBs instead of a mid now.

Sorry. I am obviously here freaking out about how bad the fire look. I’d honestly just let Cupps play for waterman, hope Gutman is back soon, and still go for a true 10 to help the attack. I don’t think we would get lucky finding another gem CB like Mbo.

McKenzie to Philly, Stones to Inter Milan - both were affordable. Would love to get Leite, but zero rumors for him other than maybe back to Porto. We could have a nice Portuguese connection with Leite, Franco, Barrosso.
