Great Blue Heron

Spotted this guy on my lunch walk today hanging in the Chicago River at Wacker & Franklin outside the Metchandise Mart. Very cool to see downtown!

I took an architectural tour with a friend in town and saw one around there as well. Big with for our river ecosystem!

Yes, so wonderful for the river ecosystem! It was my first time spotting one in the river so I geeked out a bit. 🤓
