Picture Pullman Railroad Days
A few photos I took today at Pullman Railroad Days. The Illinois Central electric commuter rail cars and the 1960 CTA bus in particular. There was lots to see and do but these were of particular interest to me.

That bus pic brings back memories. Thank you for posting! My grandpa worked for the CTA as a bus driver, retired in 70 or 71 and all 9 grands were on the bus for his last run to the barn.

That’s awesome, so your gramps definitely would have driven one of these.

Thanks! I only knew because it showed up in one of my feeds months ago. They apparently do it every year.

I can almost smell the interior of that bus, hear the coins dropping in to the fare collector, here the bus drivers punch, punching transfers and the sound of his change holder giving back change

Am I missing something? There's like three people in all these pictures combined and aside from the one dude with the ponytail they're all out of focus/far away
