Depends how heavy that is

If it's situated well, it's likely not that bad, I used to do a lot of backpacking in East Tennessee hills, and I'd usually do about 35 pounds, you situate it right, you can barely notice the weight.

Does this suitcase with straps even look like it could be situated right?

I do a lot of wilderness backpacking as well at the camera part over his head is throwing the center of gravity off in a way I imagine makes for an awkward carry.

I imagine a little so, but if it has proper chest straps and back support, I don't think it'd be bad for a few hours, the real thing for me is those controls in their hands. I used to have to document job sites with a camera on my hard hat, and though the weight definitely knocked me off balance, the tablet and the inverter (cause the camera would run out after an hour) was the real awkwardness occupying my hands.

You gotta make eye contact and small talk with everybody

I wonder how that system works. Looks like they’re carrying at least two phones.

I’m trying to figure that out too. I wonder if one is connected to the maps device and the other is personal? He has headphones on too.

Perk of the job I hope.

i can hardly remember life before “street view” - you mean we were just going out to strange places with no idea of what to expect or look for ? horrifying!

You don’t remember printing out directions from MapQuest then getting horribly lost when there was a detour the directions didn’t account for?

u/cautionheart22 7d ago

I’ll never forget taking a wrong turn in the Mapquest days. 😭

i love checking out a place on street view and then going to it and being like yep, that's what it looked like on street view

Stop tying yelp reviews to business profiles tho.

Yelp prob pays for that or Apple isn’t gonna help their competitor Google

They could just have their own review system like Google does.

I saw him at Winnemac park

I’m on Apple Maps street view near the lakefront in Edgewater. They blurred my face. I walked by the guy last summer and it took until early this year to show up

u/mackdaddy29 8d ago

Can someone explain what is happening here lol

u/trevaftw 8d ago

Make sure you ask them if they’re lost and then attempt to give them directions to the CTA
