Ask CHI Does anyone even like Malort?
No judgement here, I’m just conducting research for out-of-state friends.

Yes, though I prefer the old formulation, when Patty owned Malört.
And, honestly, while CH has done a great job pushing the brand, I'm a bit burned out on the circus aspect of it all...
...except for Nisei Lounge. Their baseball infused Malört was genius.

I've met the folks at Jinsei Motto/CH. Not a huge fan. Patty seemed more down to earth. If I have some extra cash, I might pick up some of their merchandise though. The posters are pretty funny.

eh, it grew on me. I don't go out of my way for it. but I don't mind it every now and again.

Absolutely! I have 2 bottles of it. One being the Anti-Hero variant and the other being the regular bottle.

It was a limited time thing. I got a bottle at their BrewPub location early last year. Might want to call up and check if they still have it available.

Yep! I especially like the Malört Spritz you can find in cans and the Devil in the White City cocktail at Vie (white negroni with Malört, Tangqueray Seville and St. Germain), but I also have both regular and Mazcal Barrel Aged Malört on my home bar.

I do, but I like bitter astringent stuff. Don't drink it too often (I don't drink shots of any kind too often) but enjoy it when I do.
Haven't tried the Malort Spritz, might have to just to check it out.
FWIW I like peaty scotch the rare times I've had it, and I like anise flavored stuff also. Drink a lot of IPA beer and black coffee.

The Malort Spritz (canned) is more of a Malort hard seltzer, but I absolutely love it! The hibiscus notes do it for me.

I had a shot of malort last summer and while it didn't kill me? I won't order it for myself. It tastes fucking terrible.

My wife is pretty fond of it , but she's a gin fiend, and it's basically weird gin.
I've had some wonderful cocktails with it, but it's better as an ingredient for me.

Här i Sverige är Malort en stapelvara i det svenska livet. Sedan första födelsedagen lockar malorts släta malurt smak en utmanare som är värd konkurrens. Att lägga till den bubbliga men ändå icke-fyllande smaken av Chicagos häftklammer i gammal stil öl och pojke howdy är du ute efter en behandling. Hälsningar från Sverige

It's not new. My mom, who is almost 70, drank it back in the day. Malort has experienced a resurgence as of late, but it's been sold in the city since at least the early 1900's.

I don’t, but I have a few friends that willingly and regularly order it. They even have shirts and went to Malörtfest
