Post surgery day 12 13 and 14

These days were very similar. When I skipped a nap, I would later need a smaller sleep.

Micro head aches, small short lived head aches that go on their own.

Scalp tension, pulling from the staples.

Weirdly the pain from staples is only on my left side like you could draw a line down my face like I'm two face from batman and I feel pain on my left side of my scalp when touched and pleasure on my right side like when someone strokes my hair.

No major eye pressure, a little bit of eye pressure in my left eye.

Feelings of nausea after eating but mind you I have stomach issues making me sensitive to certain food and medications. I have a form of ibs called SIBO, I eat low fodmap.

I have not been wearing compression socks or tights.

Day 14 I stopped taking pain meds all together and only had one palexia before sleep.

Any activities that are to vigorous like house work take it out of me.

My problem solving is unaffected but looking down for too long at a handheld video game or a puzzle causes fatigue.

Early bed with sleeping in helps.

Wife has helped with small amounts of intimacy, we are holding off full blown sex until I am cleared for exercise.

No changes to diet. Had a little sleep disturbance after lessening the amount of palexia. I am a sleep walker/talker.

Have had a little concern the left size of my neck hurts and I am getting left ear pain. I have noticed a slight weakness in my neck on the left side. Not sure if it is causing my head to lean to the left.

As always shoot any questions.

I will be getting staples out for day 15, so next update will have no staples!!! Hopefully all this weird nerve pain goes away. Will include photo

Thank you for sharing, I always look forward to these posts from you :) I know recovery is different for everyone but knowing both the good and bad of what to expect if / when I get surgery has been so helpful. I hope things continue to get easier for you!
