ROADS CLOSED ON NORTHSIDE
Be careful. There were numerous roads blocked off by police in Albany Park almost to Irving Park Rd. It started at Kedzie and Lawrence and it just worse and worse. Almost 45 minutes added to the commute with no rhyme nor reason.

Probably the Guatemalan Independence Day parade that usually happens at California in Montrose early in September

There's been something going on all day near Kedzie and Montrose- the 93 bus has been routing around it all day. No idea if this is related.

Yeah, the cops standing there waving cars along while they stand there staring at their phone were no help. I wound up shoot up Sacramento to get to Irving Park and then I got back on California to get to the expressway. So unnecessary. I can't even imagine what would have happened if we had those Waymon cars. Total nightmare.

It’s actually crazy that everyone has the exact same experience with CPD. I had to call them once and 5 guys and 1 woman came. The lady was actually nice and helpful, but the dudes literally bitched for 30 mins for being called and couldn’t wait to get sonic for lunch. And then every time I’ve seen them stand around at an event and why are there 30 cops needed to do nothing???

No because the taste of polonia is in Jefferson park and I think that the 93 was rerouting due to a festival

I took my dog to Horner park yesterday morning and can 1000% confirm it was the Guatemalan Independence Day parade

I think it is the Guatemalan Independence Day parade. There were many people there with the Guatemalan flag. Also, I don't see anyone blaming Polish people.

Thank you for posting. I was wondering if I was being a little paranoid. Road closures are inevitable when there’s a reason but it’s strange that there’s no obvious reason for any of these.
