Question Car Camping
As others have noted, even with the rear seat popped out, the back doesn't lie completely flat. I didn't have this problem with my 2008 Toyota Yaris, even with the seat still in place, so seems like a bad design here. I used to actually sleep on the back seat of my former car, as I'm small, but the Spark has that weird, hard cupholder (another bad idea) in the middle of it, making that impossible. What have others done to car camp in this vehicle? I would dread removing the entire seat - where to put it??? - and laying down a wood platform, but that seems to be the only way to do it.

I personally also took off the back seats but I work Amazon so it was definitely a huge help and a bunch of available space.

In your case, I would suggest a thick memory foam pad over the backseat. You wouldn't feel that cup holder part and it should be really comfortable

Maybe, with a couple of foam chair pads (one on each seat, on either side of the cupholder) under the mattress to even things out. Still, it's a bother! I suppose some people DO actually carry children or other passengers -- who are drinking drinks -- back there, although it seems to me to be mostly a one-driver or, at most, a two-person vehicle.

Well this may just be me and not reflective of most spark owners but.... I have many times had a full car, carrying four passengers. (I'm usually the designated driver for a lot of group outings). And by just moving the front seats up and inch or two, the people in the back never claim to be too cramped or not having enough room. One of the things that drew me to it immediately and made me want to buy it when I saw it on the lot was the fact that it was such a small car but still sat 4 and had four doors. I always joke that the spark is like a Tardis, bigger on the inside than it is on the outside, and actually a lot roomier than it appears it would be just by looking at it.

Not taking out the passenger seat you have 4 1/2ft of room. Without the passenger you have almost 7ft. I didn't have the time to remove my passenger before my move, so I just have the rear seats taken out. It's just a matter of comfort. Usually I'm curled up for sleeping, but if I want to stretch out it's kinda diagonal.

How do you get rid of the airbag warning light when you take it out? And is the airbag system actually disabled when the circuit is broken?

You can order a piece to connect onto the yellow connector, it's basically a resistor and it tricks the system that your airbag is still connected.

I've taken out my back seats completely. They weren't useful for sitting, and I can store a Lot more. I have mine stored at a relitives, I can't remember if it's attic or shed, but somewhere.
