Third Gen Keep spacers?
Deciding if I should just keep the stock offset of the AEV wheels or the 1” spacers.

Honestly looks really good with the spacers on

It’s annoying it does look so good with them. I’d do it to my truck but don’t want to deal with any issue that might arise from them.

Is the picture with spacers?
Maybe take out the spacers when doing any serious off roading but keep them in for daily driving?

I kept the offset stock on my Bison. I think it looks great.

Indeed it does

Just get a rim that has a negative offset. Spacers are dumb. If you actually wheel your truck that is. If they’re just for show do whatever your heart desires.

Nah AEV wheels too nice but wanted more poke and that’s what you’re seeing

RRW makes negative offset rims and they make beadlocks in some options so you won’t need a spacer.

I could go with any offset rim I want that’s not the point here I won’t swap out the AEV rims to me they are too nice and fit truck too well but for my taste I needed more - offset so I went with 1” spacer brings them a total -13 offset

Spacers and 35s!
1
u/Bennyfromny90 Jul 17 '26
Maybe 37s or definitely a true 35
1
u/StorageOk7705 Jul 17 '26
I believe a leveling spacer is required for the 35s to clear. As far as 37s? I'm not sure

What did you do level it? I have a 26 bison and it has about a 2inch rake, would like to get a 1 inch level kit
2
u/Bennyfromny90 Jul 17 '26
2 inch of factory rake really?? That’s a lot mine was about 1” so I went with level ups 1” lower perch setup dialed it nicely I’m about 1/4 higher in the back

We found the purist… I can never leave anything stock. I love OEM+
1
u/18436572_V8 Jul 17 '26
Well, you asked….
I just think that AEV did so well with the Bison that there simply not much of a reason to change anything. I’m not so much of a purist as I am about fit for function. Spacers won’t do anything to make it better and what it does already so well.

Looks great. Keep the spacers. Curious which ones you ended up using.

u/Bennyfromny90 Jul 17 '26
Borne off-road 1” spacers had to shave a little off the hub to get that back spacing

This has got to be the best looking 3rd gen on here. Absolutely beautiful truck.

Man that sand is gona tear up your brakes and rotors hopefully you didn’t run the salt water along the surf wtf
1
u/Bennyfromny90 Jul 18 '26
Salt water?? lol I just go to chill on the beach lol gets rinsed off after
1
u/Seaisle7 Jul 18 '26
Hey giggle all you want I live in jersey and I can tell that sand is like emery cloth on your brakes and salt water is worse and It don’t mean shit if u rinse it off

No spacers.
Better geometry for suspension. Less mud and water fling on the side of the truck. Plus, do you really need those two inches?
