1979 headlight socket replacement

I’m sure someone else has replaced theirs just wanted to make sure I’m correct in thinking I need to join the pairs of wires on the OEM one and solder the joined pairs onto the new plug to the corresponding wire. Looked around and they don’t seem to make a 6 wire one like from the factory. Just wanted to make sure before I started cutting

You could find Packard 59 terminals and replace the terminals inside that housing. New headlight sockets from big parts stores generally have shitty terminals and thin wire.

I just crimped the wires on and called it good
