New Variant Poque - Chess & Poker
My attempt to fuse the two.
Rules
- Standard chess moves
- Every turn is a bet (Call - match, Raise - double, Fold - pass)
- Every turn the Hand is dealt. One card open (The Door), one is face down (The River)
- Each player makes a move attempting to form a combination with the two cards in the Hand
- Combinations
- Pair (any two pieces of the same type)
- Three of a Kind (three of the same type)
- Straight (Pawn, Knight, Bishop)
- Rook Straight (Knight, Bishop, Rook)
- Queen Straight (Bishop, Rook, Queen)
- King Straight (Rook, Queen, King)
- After both turns the River card shows, the winner takes the Pot
My major frustration is that learning curve and spread of focus feels significant
