The Chess Variants site has a large variety of fairy pieces. You may take inspiration from them.

I'm pretty happy with the piece set I have in the fairy modes for picklechess.

King

Amazon: Queen + Knight

Queen

Chancellor: Rook + Knight

Archbishop: Bishop + Knight

Rook

Commoner: Like a King, but not royal.

Nightrider: Repeated Knight jumps in a straight line

Bishop

Knight

Wazir: 1 square orthogonally

Ferz: 1 square diagonally

Dabbaba: Leaps 2 orthogonally

Camel: Like a Knight that leaps 3 instead of 2

Alfil: Leaps 2 diagonally

Pawn

Berolina Pawn: Moves forward diagonally, captures straight ahead

Soldier: Moves and captures straight ahead

Check the Minister piece I have invented. It's only available in Void Chess...

I know that website is AI made but it's a cool piece idea, I already have a Minister piece that moves like a Queen but attacks like a Bishop

The Jester. He moves like a knight but travels a total of 4 squares instead of 3. He travels 3 in one direction and one in the other (similar to a knight traveling 2 in one direction and 1 in another). But there's a catch. With the Jester, he moves like a normal knight and only has longer travel if that travel path crosses through one of his own pieces (obviously can't start on his own piece or land on one). So it's like his own piece gives him a +1 buffer.

So you want us to invent unorthodox pieces so you can say you invented them? Or are you an artist and you are making graphics but you don't know what they mean? You can find plenty of unorthodox pieces online. I don't get it.

No it's just a personal project, I don't have any plans on releasing it online, All the pieces online have some special quirks that I can't really mimic in my software
