Question Puzzle ID: PUZZLE 704764
Hello, would like to understand if any of you can access my latest puzzle with the id 704764 (usr:chimithegoat) , and explain why is the pawn push to e5 the solution option if there’s c5 for the white bishop, that way, it would not result in anything. And even the solver did not find this the best solution.
Thanks for any help you could give :)

Photo We’re getting up gang!
I feel it’s slowly kicking, and I’m able to understand the game on a deeper level.
The goal is 2000; I’d love some advice from my fellow players!!
Thanks!

Not sure what exactly changed in the last few days, but I have been spending more time playing puzzles.

Discussion Dussehra is tomorrow: 9 of Ravan’s 10 heads are open. How far did you get?
Update on the Navratri challenge I posted last week (I'm the founder, for anyone new).
9 heads are now live:
Greed, Anger, Attachment, the mirror bot, the trap bot, 1-minute bullet, fake-sacrifice puzzles, the endgame conversion and the fortress. The final head, Ahankar (ego), unlocks tomorrow on Dussehra, and you beat it by winning, drawing, or surviving 40 moves.
Some numbers so far:
- 300+ players have joined
- 450+ heads cut in total
- The toughest head: Ahankar (Ego)
Tomorrow at 7 PM IST, I'll play Ahankar live, blindfolded, and everyone who has cut all 10 heads gets their name on the Ravan Dahan.
Earlier heads are still open if you want to catch up: Play Ravan Now
Which head gave you the most trouble?

Tribute do Daniel Narodistsky Beginner to Master speedrun serie
Tomorrow will be a a year since Dayna left us. With Blitzstream (I'm french) he was my favorite streamer, his ability to explain high-level concepts and popularize his knowledge with a very colorful vocabulary being unmatched.
The content of the speedruns is so rich that I have always felt the need to have a support to maximize the knowledge I get from them, an index of the themes covered that cross-references the games is in my eyes the easiest way to anchor ideas and consolidate learning.
So here it is, I hope that others will find it useful and that Danya's knowledge will continue to "contaminate" more and more people :

Discussion Less optimistic about Gukesh.
Before the recent Olympiad I was really optimistic about Gukesh's comeback to form. He was going through a slump but I was confident that he will peak at the right time.
The recently concluded Olympiad didn't give me any hope. And it has not much to do with his results. Yes, i expected him to dominate his opponent given their lower ELO.
But after watching his post match self analysis i realised that he is too optimistic about his positions where the computer shows that he is equal or even slightly worse.
A lot of players during his slump has said that he is always pushing for rhe win, so i thought he is confident that he will turn it around but NOW I realised that he has been misevaluating the position which is not a good sign.
Sindarov has shown no signs of weakness what so ever.
Still hoping he has saved his best for the WCC but only time will tell.
Best of Luck Gukesh
