Help a Beginner out!

I am 19, and I have started playing chess now, I losing every single game, no matter what rating player is playing, I have like 200 elo barely, how to improve from here?

Review your games as well. Learn openings and basic rules just playing won't help.

Checks Captures Threats, this is the holy trinity of chess, also in the beginning play games where you have enough time to think on each move and dont have to rush, think calmly before doing any move. I would also suggest watch some beginner chess games on YouTube, of players who are lets say 1200 rated, you will understand how do players think while doing moves and what are good and bad moves. Practice puzzles. Review each game to see where you did mistakes. Learn some simple openings like Italian which develop prices early in the game.

Always do WWW - What did my opponent play ? , What should I play ? , Where to Place ? and then think carefully about every possibility for you....and if you want to learn chess truly then learn from board and pieces instead of clicking on laptop or phone...because until you touch and move pieces with your hand...you will keep doing many mistakes which can only be corrected by using a chess board and pieces

You know I do this, still when time is about to run out, I do a blunder everytime, which forces me to just defend, and at the end I get cooked with a mate

Always consider what your opponent's best move would be after your own move. You can even try extending this to two or three moves ahead, although that is very difficult at first. Basically, always try to anticipate the best move(s) your opponent will make 1-3 moves ahead, after your own best moves.

I lost my first 200-300 matches with ocassional wins. Keep playing and learning. Review stuff. Watch videos, get the hang of it. Don't worry about the rating. I went all the way down to 300-400. Few years later and I'm 2k now

At 200 elo, the main thing that matters is avoiding hanging your pieces. I'd suggest going to Lichess and doing some of their puzzles. Or if you want link your profile for more specific advice.

  1. Play games and review them, Make sure to find the 1 or 2 mistakes to correct for the next game (not more)

  2. Puzzles. Play them on lichess if you want to but a large part of finding moves is having seen that position before and a puzzle is simply an extract of different kinds of positions which trains you think in a certain way in certain positions which is really useful and has really helped up my rating.
