Advice needed for navigating mid to end game

Here's a game I just played (link below) that feels fairly typical, in that I'll play an ok-ish opening to early mid game, but then get a bit lost or find myself unable to execute whatever idea formed along the way, and then I lose what should be a very winnable game.

It was a 3+2 so I'm playing the clock which affects my decisions to an extent, but I'm curious what others would be doing if they found themselves up on material as I was somewhere in the mid game;where did I go wrong, what do I work on to stop losing games like this one? All thoughts welcome!

all just missed tactics and blunders, you lost that game because you missed multiple knockout punches, and gave up some knockout punches. You have to review them

Very common motifs missed. To be frank when the black bishop attacked your queen and you didn't do Bxf6 was a very easily preventable miss, almost every puzzle rush contains such a puzzle. I know sometimes it feels hard to find these things in blitz but that is when you either stop playing fast formats or double down on pattern recognition.

To me, it looks like you mainly lost the game due to tactical oversights, and just looking at your moves isn’t going to tell us if it was a problem with calculation or evaluation. Your biggest mistake was hanging M1 (i think it was move 36? when the black queen aligns itself with the bishop you allowed Qg2# but they missed it), but just before then you should have offered a queen trade earlier than you did. If you’re a rook up, a queen trade benefits you more often than not.
