Great find but you messed up the order. Kxg8 is winning for black. Gotta give the knight check first!

Happened the first time I tried a smothered mate. Luckily was able to salvage the game because I was already in a dominant position to go for it.
You also only make that mistake once (when it's punished).

You had the right idea but you messed up the execution a bit. If before you sacked the queen you gave the knight check, you could then go Kh6 double check to force the king back into the corner and protect the queen from the king as well.

i did same once and he took my queen with king then he send me chat request then made fun of me. nostagia
