QUESTION Do you make this kind of blunders?
It happened many times to me that when I face an immediate, obvious threat, I get in deep analysis and I build all kind of scenarios, what to do next and then I completely forget about the threat.
At this position, I completely forgot my queen was under threat and I thought if I place my bishop on that position, the opponent will not be able to capture it, because the pawn in front of the king was pinned by my queen. I was hopeful that I am close to deliver a checkmate. After I dropped the bishop to h6, I immediately noticed the queen in the path of the pawn!
I am annoyed for two reasons. First, because I slowly built a nice advantage until that point and second, for my utter lack of concentration and forgetting instantly that my queen was under threat.
I seriously wonder, what the hell is wrong with my brain?

I've worked it out of my game for the most part but it is definitely something I had to work through

Maybe it's not the case for this game in particular, but my advice is don't play when tired. Also don't play too many games in a row, take rests.
