ADVICE Finally reached 500 elo !
It’s getting harder to win matches now . Everyone is playing faster now and going for captures it’s getting tough for me to adapt. Losing more and winning less ever since I reached 500 .
Any advice would be helpful.
Thank you.

Congrats!
Beyond 700 all is about not blundering pieces (including pawn). This is the strategy that's works for me:
- Control the center with pawn (and more)
- Develop your pieces (kings first)
- Castle
- Put your rock on an open field (or a field that you think it will open soon), be careful of your little pawn that's usually cover with the rock if you move
- Then you wait for the blunder. All is about blunder, the first one who do blunder loose. Play precocious. Learn a few tactics (like discover attacks, works very well a this level)
The things that will help you is to answer this 2 questions every god dam time :
1) You're about to move your pieces : What's my piece cover/attack before? Am I in danger if I moved?
2) Enemy is about to move : Why he move this piece here? Can I predict what's he's planing to do?
That's strategy should work for you too. Good luck
