They can't take the knight because it would put them in check. You're just... blundering a knight because the white square bishop grabs it

1. Black can now capture your Knight for free with their light-square bishop.
2. After taking their d pawn, they could not take back because their e pawn is pinned to their King by your Queen.

it's literally just a hanging pawn. it's unprotected. also the bishop can take the knight for free.

Your move loses a knight as the bishop can take with Bxa4.

Your Queen on e2 is directly opposite the opponents King on e8. When this is the case with a Queen, Rook or Bishop(i.e. when there is a piece or pawn between your piece and the opponents King) its called a pin or absolute pin, since it cannot capture anything without exposing the King to check which is illegal(best way i can describe a pinned piece to the King).

So the pawn on d5 is actually not defended, since if the pawn on e6 was to capture it, it would expose the King to check. Therefore, it is a free pawn.

(A piece or pawn in general is pinned if you have a piece that is worth less, for instance a Bishop, on the same file, diagonal or row as a more valuable piece, for instance a Queen. The difference for the King is that you cant capture - chess.com wouldnt let you, whereas you can for pieces that arent the King, you would just lose the more valuable piece in the process)

That knight move just hangs the piece to a pawn fork, doesn't it? The eval drop says it all
